He went around in just under 3hr:35mins - not too shabby for having not run for three weeks prior because of agonizing shin splints.

I can't tell you how tempted I was to be Thorpey and bite the medal in the picture. Instead, I chose to rise above it, and do an "I'm a little teapot" impression instead.
I think the end-result vindicates my decision...
